Ulla Richardson

Ulla Richardson, Professor of technology-enhanced language learning in Centre for Applied Language Studies at the University of Jyväskylä, an adjunct Professor of Experimental Psycholinguistics and Research on Speech Sciences, Department of Languages at JYU, head of the Secretariat of GraphoWORLD Network of Excellence, and a part of UNESCO Chair on Inclusive Literacy Learning for All. She has been successful in gaining several substantial national and international research funding.

Her research falls into language acquisition, reading and writing skills and development in different languages and orthographies, dyslexia research, interventions and skill assessments, phonology and speech processing as well as evidence based technology in language learning. She leads a multidisciplinary GraphoLearn team that has together with international reading experts developed the game for more than 30 languages. She has authored book chapters as well as articles in several journals including Developmental Neuropsychology, Reading Research Quarterly, Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, Dyslexia and PNAS (altogether 3817 citations, h-index 27, i10-index 37).
