Panayiota graduated from the Clinical Psychology PhD programme, University of Cyprus in February 2018. Her PhD thesis was titled Social Cognition in Normal Aging: Behavioral and Electrophysiological correlates.

Her research interests include social cognition and its relation to neuropsychological functions, EEG techniques in brain imaging and neuropsychological testing.
